What is CT?

Computed Tomography, CT, uses x-rays to produce detailed pictures of structures inside the body. A CT scanner directs a series of x-ray pulses through the body. Each pulse lasts only a fraction of a second and represents a "slice" of the organ or area being studied.

South Ryan MRI offers the state of the art Sensation 64 from Siemens Medical Solutions. This technology allows us to obtain 64 slices per rotation with a level of detail, sharpness and clarity previously unachievable with CT. Imaging of this quality and speed gives our physicians the opportunity to study human anatomy at a remarkable level.
